Well, it happened again. Another snow day.
I'm resting to prepare for another epic snow shoveling. In the moment, it's calm and strikingly beautiful. Snow stacking itself precisely and precariously on deck railings. Snow clinging thickly to pine branches, creating a marshmallow world if I've ever seen one. My wife is home, a welcome surprise. My dog is lounging with me comfortably on the couch - no change. A pork tenderloin is thawing to make a simplified feijoada, perfect for the blasting cold that will follow.
What else could you ask for on a snow day?
