Elevator Pitch

To sell in today's world requires an elevator pitch. You've basically got 30 seconds, about the time of a standard TV ad.

The concept is that you only have the length of an elevator ride to pitch someone on your idea, be it a product, person (usually you), or a business opportunity. Can you get someone interested before they step out of the elevator?

Any number of resources will help you get started (here, here, and here are just a few of hundreds), but it comes down to putting yourself out there. Getting uncomfortable. After a few attempts, you get the hang of it. Which will make for a more interesting elevator ride the next time out.
